Programming at Joyful Harvest is dependent on volunteers. If you or a group would like to volunteer, please call our office and speak with Shay Stewart-Bouley, the Executive Director to discuss your interest and where you might be able to help us. We offer volunteer training throughout the year and would be happy to talk about what the training entails.
A critical need is for volunteers who can commit to the same day each week from 2:30 to 5:15 to assist the site staff with the after-school program. Duties include planning activities for the day; ensuring that snacks are ready and helpers are there to serve; overseeing activities with the children; providing homework assistance as needed; clean up as needed; and assisting the site manager. While this is our most critical volunteer need, we have many different ways to get involved and help make a difference in the life of a child if you are not able to commit to a weekly schedule.
